IVA PLANTS takes home Great Taste 2025 award for its Sleep Well tea
Judged by the Guild of Fine Food’s expert panel, Sleep Well tea is awarded a Great Taste 1-star in the world’s most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme
London, independent British tea brand specialising in natural herbal blends, IVA PLANTS has been named among the top food and drink producers globally this year. The brand picked up a highly prized 1-star Great Taste award for their “Sleep Well tea.”
14,340 products were put through the competition’s rigorous blind judging process. Sleep Well tea was described as a “pleasant infusion which delivers its promise” at the world’s most respected food and drink awards. In total, 3,899 products were awarded a Great Taste 1-star for delivering fantastic flavour. A further 1,508 received a 2-star rating for being above and beyond delicious, and 273 earned a prestigious 3-star for extraordinarily tasty food and drink.
The judges also described Sleep Well tea as “a soothing and well-balanced flavour with a light creamy mouthfeel.”
Made with lemon balm, spearmint, orange peel and valerian root, and blended and packed by hand in small batches in the UK, the Sleep Well tea stood out among 5,680 products that received an award from Great Taste in 2025. This represents just 39.6% of the total entries.

What is Great Taste?
Recognised as a stamp of excellence and actively sought out by food lovers and retailers alike, the Great Taste accreditation scheme, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, values taste above all else. Each product in the line-up for judging is blind-tasted and all packaging is removed, so it cannot be identified, before entering a robust, layered judging process.
This year, judging took place over 110 days, with a panel of more than 500 judges putting entries to the test. The line-up saw food and drink products submitted from an extraordinary 110 different countries across the world.

I first came across IVA Plants and Alex their founder at my local monthly Artisan market and decided to try the Sleep Well tea and the Rose Garden Tea. I was very impressed with the lovely aroma and the quality of the ingredients. There is an online shop but I thought I would head down to the market again to stock up. This time I bought dried Chamomile flowers, Rose buds and a Houjicha roasted greentea that she suggested for me as it is lower in caffeine. I would highly recommend all of the purchases I have made.
