About Us

Some stories begin with recipes, others with gardens. Ours begins with both.

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
My name is Alexandra, and I’m the founder of IVA PLANTS, a small independent brand rooted in nature, tradition and care. What began as a quiet family passion has grown into something that celebrates the natural world and the simple beauty of real ingredients.
IVA PLANTS carries a personal meaning. I, V and A are the first letters of the names of my family members, and PLANTS reflects what I work with in every blend: pure, plant based ingredients. It represents family, connection and respect for nature, the essence of everything behind this brand.

I create herbal teas crafted from pure dried plants without additives or flavourings. Each blend is designed to support everyday wellbeing, to calm, restore and bring comfort. Alongside the herbal collection, I offer Ceylon black teas and Japanese green teas, carefully chosen for their flavour, purity and origin.

I work with trusted growers who share my values of quality and sustainability. The black tea comes from an independent Ceylon garden, the green teas from a historic family farm in Kyoto, and the botanicals from respected English and European suppliers. Every ingredient is selected with care to ensure freshness and integrity in every cup.
For me, tea is more than a drink. It is a ritual of stillness, a small connection to nature and to the people who have tended it for centuries.

Always fresh. Always natural. That is not just a phrase, it is the way I work.

The story of IVA PLANTS began with tea, but it does not end there. My inspiration comes from family traditions that reach back to the 1690s, when knowledge of plants and natural remedies was already part of our history. That continuity matters to me. It shapes how I think about food, land and responsibility.
Alongside tea, I am developing traditional fruit preserves and seasonal conserves. These recipes come from the women in my family and from the way fruit was treated in our home, with respect for the harvest and without unnecessary additions. I am also preparing to introduce fruit-based drinks in the future.
This wider direction is now growing under Ghemu Farm, our developing family project in the UK. You can follow its progress at
Ghemu Farm.
We have already planted tea bushes here in Britain. They are still young, but they are growing well. In time, they will become part of what we produce ourselves, from soil to finished product.
Thank you for being here.
