Reflecting on Foodies Festival 2024: IVA Plants’ debut at Syon Park

IVA Plants made its inaugural public appearance at Foodies Festival 2024 in Syon Park, marking a significant milestone for our brand. As our first-ever event, it was both exhilarating and a touch daunting. Ahead of launching, we conducted online surveys to understand preferences for herbal teas, but nothing could quite prepare us for the insights gained through in-person conversations.

Over three engaging days, we spoke with customers about ingredients, aromas, and flavours. This direct interaction revealed nuances we hadn’t anticipated — such as the strong demand for high-quality black and green teas. Many visitors shared that it’s increasingly difficult to find natural, unprocessed versions, a sentiment we took to heart. We also had the pleasure of meeting fellow small business owners, whose valuable advice will guide us as we venture further into the market scene.

The experience taught us a few logistical lessons as well. We’ll be more selective about stall placement next time, opting for a location closer to the main entrance for increased visibility. Additionally, the British weather proved a critical factor. When a heavy downpour hit, our paper packaging absorbed moisture, resulting in some stock losses. While disappointing, it underscored the importance of considering weatherproof packaging for future events.

Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to bring IVA Plants to the OM Yoga Show 2024 this autumn. Equipped with insights from Foodies Festival, we’re optimistic about reaching new audiences and refining our presence at future events.

To everyone who visited, shared their thoughts, and helped make our debut unforgettable — thank you. We look forward to seeing where this journey takes us next.
